September 21, 20214 yr Hi all. Has any one done a conversion with a Bafang BBS02 on a full suspension bike. I am looking for a donor bike at the moment but the rear shocks and frame shape won’t allow the down tube battery to be fitted. Can’t afford another battery .
September 21, 20214 yr Hopefully linking to other forums is okay. This might be of some use, I saved it with a view to having a crack at a fs bike... https://electricbike.com/forum/forum/builds/ebike-building-directions/14686-a-list-of-full-suspension-bikes-that-a-shark-pack-will-fit-on-the-downtube-pictorial

I can start a search .
September 28, 20214 yr There is always the option of mounting it on a rack. Someone at my work has a full suspension bike with a down-tube type battery mounted at the rack. Not ideal for balance, but could become a viable plan B.
October 1, 20214 yr Battery clearance looks tight but maybe possible in an XL size on this decathlon offering: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/27-5-full-suspension-mountain-bike-st-540-s-blue-orange/_/R-p-301117
October 1, 20214 yr It is a very tight fit thats the xl 21 inch rockrider frame frame once in the battery [119mm high] will not slide off , even the hailong 2 case 110mm high will not fit in the large 19 inch frame
October 1, 20214 yr Yes very little left not enough to get the battery off and on without modification would not recommend it as a conversion ,the old hailong 1 case is only 90 mm tall if you can find one Waiting for a softpack with 21700 cell on a very slow boat from china to finish the large frame build due 6th November [ordered august 3rd]
