October 30, 20241 yr I've got some Clarks V-brakes and been using the Clarks replacement pads. For interest I bought some new replacement pads from AliExpress for half the price and they are brilliant. Real noticeable improvement in braking, and the pads fit the Clarks holder. Green ones here. Item C I recommend. They seem to have a bit more meat on them. I've ordered some more as well impressed. October 31, 20241 yr Be aware that some pads will give better breaking, but at the expense of much increased rim wear. I'm not saying that is true of those, but worth considering.

Yes indeedy, that worry does prevent me jumping at an apparent bargain. Clark's usual formula is supposedly easy on rims in terms of rim wear. I haven't tried the insert versions I bought yet, as I'm still wearing through Clark's usual more generously thick insertless type. Rims aint usually cheap, but when they are, time etc. to sort everything associated isn't. Edited October 31, 20241 yr by guerney
