Same method surely the G C is heavier than the Santana?As I get older I'm thinking a step through may be better for me but the weight concerns me.I just would like a weight comparison between the two.Please re check the weight of the GC.Thanks
February 28, 20251 yr They have practically the same weight. The fork on the Santana3 is suntour NEX, it has aluminium lower legs, a bit heavier than the Suntour XCM fork on the gran camino. The frame of the Santana3 is also slightly heavier. The Santana3 rack is heavier and the Santana3 crankset is also heavier. The motor on the gran camino is slightly heavier.

An aikema/Tongsheng 85SX motor weighs less than 2kgs. My full sus bike with the Tongsheng 85TS kit weighs 14kgs with 48v10ah bag battery.

The Gran camino has a beefy dwg22c motor, the Santana3 has the lighter bafang swx02. The gc has 500g of motor + 100g of spokes more. The gc has 12 gauge spokes front and rear.
February 28, 20251 yr The times I notice the weight of my GC are when lifting it through a doorway and at unexpected stops, so not that often, and if the throttle hadn't given up the latter wouldn't be an issue - once on the move you wouldn't know. I rode a large motorbike so I'm in the habit of straddling a bike fairly wide and with the brake on.
