LCD1 should be avoided - limited settings

LCD3 is standard and does it all

LCD4 is small and discrete, but the buttons are too small for gloved hands

LCD5 is cheap and convenient

LCD8 does it all, but is expensive

There are other ones (LCD6?) that I haven't tried.

lcd10? OK, I will get my coat..

One can add LCD 9, 11 + the TF1 & 2 now as well.

LCD3 is pretty much the best value LCD in the range imv , the other dearer ones are nice if you want a bit more then mono however they don't make the bike any faster or more powerful.

If one wants a a low key discreet LCD then the LCD4 is the smallest and neatest package.

I like the LCD3. It's not real expensive, and is easy to read. It is the only one that gives you the temperature inside the case. Easy to read. Conversely, being the biggest one, it's easier tio damage when the bike falls, Think I have broken three,

The LCD7U offers color, but is hard for me to read, Buttons are harder to press too. The LCD9 is similar, but has a built-in throttle.

The LCD1 is a budget item that doesn't allow controller current to be changed. Doesn't show watts.

I used an LCD1 for five or six years on my old old Norco 700c conversion, though very basic it worked very well, I also had an LCD3 on another bike so if I needed to change any advanced parameters I used the LCD3 to make them .

If one wants a cheap no frills LCD then it is plenty good enough.

Whilst iI am waiting for a LCD3 I tried the Kt controller on a compatable 880 LCD that I ordered as a spare. Got it connected up but the pedal sensor that I ordered which has 12 magnets will not work. I am guessing it is incompattable because it will not drive the motor. The 6 km speed button drives the motor ok so I guess the controller is good. It seems I need 8 or 10 magnet sensor to work with the 880?

You need to do all the settings to get the pedal sensor to work. It shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

In that case this lcd is not compattable. There are no settings

LCD3 is compatible with any KT controller and can do all the settings. The pedal sensor will work with the 880 after you've done the settings. There's a procedure for copying the settings into the 880 that you can find on the KT website.

just include '.pdf' in your search string looking for manuals for kt lcd displays, it should result in a page count displa in the search results for easy selection of the largest that will incude the chapter/appendix relating to settings transfer and the cable required,

It was the LCD4 that I ordered. It arrived today. Pedal sensor will still not work. I went through instructions and after setting top speed, wheel size, mph/kh you are supposed to hold down button to get to p settings. Pressing down does nothing?

Page 19 of the manual describes how to 'continue' into setting the P parameters.

If you pressed the power switch to save the previous settings and exited you need to start the settings cycle again.

Think i figured it out. Altered some settings. I have the pedal sensor working intermittantly. Think i need a reset and count the magnets in the motor like saneagle suggested

The motor magnets setting doesn't stop anything from working, even if you have it wildly wrong.

I think it was a combination of a few settings but seems just fine now. Thanks all

What Cable do I need to transfer settings from lcd4 to 880 controller?

You need to make a special cable shown on the last page of the manual, and it depends which connectors you have on your devices. All it is is a 5-way cable with the green and yellow (Tx and Rx) swapped over from one end to the other and two wires spliced in to provide power (black and red):

I have had the bike running but cannot get it to save the maximum speed setting.

The procedure I followed was:

1 Power on

2 hold up/down simultaniously

3 change speed to 15

4 change wheel to 27.5

5 change units to mph

I then press power button once. It says hold down arrow again to enter units 0,1,2,3.

Holding it down does nothing?

Holding power button returns to main screen but max speed not saved.

Very confusing. Had no problem with mid drive kits
