    Battery Noise

Hi all, I have a Cerrera Crosfire E around 2 years old. Not used it for a few weeks. Randomly noticed a noise coming from the battery. It’s like buzzing / vibrating noise. The battery is full and display lights up normal. The noise stopped when I pressed the battery button. Any ideas?

Carrera Crossfire Stops Pedal Assist At 16mph

Probably was 16 mph all along. I think it may be that fact I haven't used it for sometime, it was windy, my legs were heavy and I'm thinking come on bike give me some help ffs lol.

Carrera Crossfire Stops Pedal Assist At 16mph

Hi all, Not posted for a while. Just been out on the Crossfire for the first ride since September. I'm convinced the Pedal assist used to cut out at 18mph, today it was cutting out at around 16mph. Am I mistaken at thinking it was 18 mph. Cheers

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

I just use the gears more when I get over 16mph, you can get a real sprint out of it. Imo, nothing compares to it in the price range, the 700c wheels are great and the battery performance is epic.

    Thoughts on Carrera Crossfire-E

I had the outage today on a ride. It happened after a steep climb. One of the points above mentioned pannier rack, I have the cheep one from Halfords that's designed for disk breaks.

The Dreaded Cut Out On My 3 Week Old Crossfire argh!!!

This is more terminal than the bog standard cut out. Nothing would get it going, they checked all the connections and still no joy. They say it could be the hub, but it's only done 70 miles, I was going up a long hill when it died, don't know if that caused the issue.

The Dreaded Cut Out On My 3 Week Old Crossfire argh!!!

I've cleaned the contacts but still no joy. I noticed the indicator bar on the display that shows the immediate battery use goes up when I push the walk assist button even though the wheel doesn't turn. As d8veh says I thinks it's the display.

The Dreaded Cut Out On My 3 Week Old Crossfire argh!!!

I think it's only the newer models that have the removable display, I may be mistaken. Cheers

That did nothing, I've got a feeling it's the display. It has a lever you depress to slide it off but I can remove it without pressing the lever.

The Dreaded Cut Out On My 3 Week Old Crossfire argh!!!

So I've only done 70 miles in 2 Saturday rides, went out today, 12 miles in, going up hill and the display died. I got it back on but it was locked in tour mode and seemed to take a few seconds to respond to my button inputs. I slid the display off and on which resolved that issue. However, I...

    Gears And Battery Life

Thanks for the response. Sorry no, I meant the time before it becomes flat and requires a charge. If I'm in a low gear and pedalling lots I was thinking the battery would be doing more work on a pedal assist bike.

    Gears And Battery Life

Did quite a high hill climb on my new Crossfire, image below. I had it in a low gear, but this got me thinking about battery life. Does the gear choice affect battery life?
