Anyone converted a Carrera Vengeance 2020?

Well this is what I have read but it seems there actually many variables which make a frame suitable. The whole "fits any bike" or "any frame will do" seems to be a big fat whopper. The main issue I have is finding something with deep enough dropouts. Dropout depth info seems to be hard to come...

Anyone converted a Carrera Vengeance 2020?

Hi all I am looking at buying a donor bike to convert. I want to use a 750-1000w rear hub and am looking at the Halfords Carrera Vengeance 2020 black model. Please can anyone advise as to its suitability for conversion? There is a couple of videos on Youtube of a guy who converted but also...

Help! Do I need torque washers with torque arms?

Hey. Yes I appreciate the advice. It's confusing because I have read in numerous places, including the hub instructions that the spindle does not need to sit 100% into the drop outs as long as torque arms are used. So I'm wondering how much is enough. In the photo of the geared side there is...

Help! Do I need torque washers with torque arms?

Hi all. I have slid my rear hub into my forks without washers to see what the situation is and the wheel spins nicely with the disc brake ok. My instructions say to fit two torque washers inside the forks. However when I put only one in the bikes forks need to be praised apart slightly to...

Is it ok to stack a lot of washers on the flange?

Yeah the spacer definitely better option. Will get one of those. Cheers

Is it ok to stack a lot of washers on the flange?

Thanks bud. However I measured the diameter of the axle thread earlier and it was larger than 12mm in diameter (from curved edge to curved edge) more 13/14mm. I found some 14mm washers on Amazon that have a small enough outer diameter to sit inside the freewheel. Attached photo. Would these be...

Is it ok to stack a lot of washers on the flange?

Finally getting round round to installing my rear hub and the next head scratched is that in the instructions it says the flange on the spindle can be below the edge of the freewheel and that I need to use washers to build it up till they exceed the edge of the freewheel. Because I have a 9...

Can you go to prison for murdering a chainstay?

Ha, beat you to it by a few seconds. Yes it looks like the simplest solution as long as I can get the sensor close enough to it. Do you reckon I would need to scrape away the paint from the crank part or rough it up enough or should the epoxy do ok without?

Can you go to prison for murdering a chainstay?

Thanks but the bike will be heavy enough as is. I plan on putting 2 torque arms on it so don't want to compromise the structure unnecessarily. However i have just found that the disc fits nice round the white area shown on the actual crank arm and misses the chainstay in this position...

Can you go to prison for murdering a chainstay?

Sooooo as mentioned in a previous thread I had to abort buying a mid motor Bafang because there was no chance of it not hitting my chainstay. So I opted for the Cyclotricity rear hub kit. However after opening the Pas magnet disc I knew those pesky chainstay would rear their ugly head again and...

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Ok thanks. I'm reading that clear gorilla tape makes an excellent alternative?

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Thanks. Most of the ones I'm looking at seems to say tubeless.

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Looking on Amazon a lot are described as tubeless. Are these universal and OK for normal use as well? For example would this be suitable...

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Cheers. I will get the tyre off this eve so hopefully it will be fine. Side note, 5he new hubs rim is bare. Will I need to get some rim tape in there or will it be fine as is?

Help! Have I been sent the wrong size wheel?

Mate, I like to think I have half a brain in my head (got GCSE's and everything) but things like this just make me go blank. So even though the rim is slightly shorter in width the sizes remain the same and my tyres and tubes will fit OK? So does that mean my disc brake will also fit fine on...
