How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I don't know if I'm a bit late here, but when I used a Gaadi tube, it looked as though it was going to be far too big before it was inflated (big overlap between the two ends), but once it was pumped up it fit absolutely fine. Just make sure the two ends abut each other properly before you...

    Snap!

I've been commuting to work on my e-bike for almost 2 years now and in that time seeing another e-bike on my journey has gone from a once-in-a-blue-moon occasion to me seeing at least another one every day. I think this is a sign of the growing interest in electric bicycles. Well done to us...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I used a 20 inch Gaadi inner tube for about 6 months, because I didn't want to have to take the back wheel off my bike (which had a drum brake, massive pain). It was fine, it punctured eventually, which was probably more to do with the crappy stock tyres I was running at the time - I reckon it...

    Concerning mirrors...

I used a Zefal Spin for about a year and a half, was very pleased with it, until it gave up after I mistreated it one too many times...

Any thoughts on Autofolder Airwheels R6

I think it's a really neat concept. Bit ugly though! :D

Coyote Connect (Halfords) - installing a throttle

Sorry I've only just seen this, not been on the forum for a bit, I'll be honest - based on my experience I wouldn't recommend a throttle! It absolutely leathers the battery and isn't much easier than just ghosting the pedals around. I did have great fun with the throttle at first (because I'm...

How was your commute this morning?

Not loads of snow here in Liverpool, but very, very cold wind, commuting has been unpleasant but not impossible. Got the bus today, not because I can't hack it, but because me and the wife are on the p*ss in town straight after work tonight and I don't do drink riding anymore :D

    Installed throttle, battery life murdered?

I'd noticed using throttle alone was using far more battery than just ghosting along - seems I now have an explanation why! I had assumed that I was actually putting in more effort than I realised with the pedals, looks like that isn't the case.

    Carrera crosscity and coyote connect

I can confirm that - there is very little difference between medium and high, especially on the flat. More noticable difference on hills.

What do you use your ebikes for?

Commuting, shopping, visiting people. Hardly ever going out just for the hell of it, which is a shame, but I do enjoy the commute :)

Sweaty head syndrome. Is there a cure!?!

Use a two-handled colander instead of a sieve - you can balance everything on either side then and it won't fall off ;)

Hi - Newb Trying to find out if sub £1000 ebikes will suffice

I've ridden my £500 Halfords e-bike many times in atrocious weather, there are times where I should have been riding wearing a snorkel and flippers but the electronics haven't suffered at all (various rusting metal bits are a different matter!)

Coyote Connect (Halfords) - installing a throttle

Just an (extremely belated) update on this, in case anyone is interested. I ordered a throttle new from Ebay, there's loads of different ones listed but to be honest they all look very similar. It only cost me about £3 and took a few weeks to arrive from China. Fitting it was very easy, it...

    bike locks

I use 3 locks at once - a big heavy chain & padlock thing which looks good (whether it is or not I don't know), a combination cable lock and a very lame key opening cable lock from Poundland. I'm just hoping any potential thief will see all the different locks and think it isn't worth the effort!
