Hi I am 20 stone and had a £500 ebike for a year after knee ops and it has got me about fine, the 250w rear hub has poor torque but will get up 1 in 8 hills with very light peddling but not fast maybe 6 mph, for more torque you need expensive to buy and maintain mid drive bike at £1500 starting...

I will be looking into mid drive bikes, if I can get one from shop at the right price

thx will look at these, but this bike is not illegal, just illegal to use on roads or public areas, as I live in Wolverhampton that's not really a problem, the police gave up on law and order years ago lol

i know the mid drive have more torque, but all the you tube vids I watch they make clonking noise when you change gear, plus they are more expensive,need local bike shop of ebike builder near wolves. thx

i have looked at ebay there are some 1500w bikes complete for £900 for off road use, these are tempting, but no after sales and its a lot to risk, so unless i find local ebike builder i may have to stick with what i have,
