    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

I received the same email. I binned it.

    Help! Stretching dropout s

Just to emphasise this. Aluminium frames must never be bent, ever. They will fracture catastrophically, more than likely when you are riding.

    Squeaking Bosch Performance CX motor

Are you absolutely sure it isn't brake squeal? Does it disappear when you apply the brakes?

Bosch CX Motor - Drivetrain Improvements

You have increased the sprocket size by three teeth so you need three extra links.

    Bosch Performance Line CX

The "oscillation" you feel sounds as though it is the chain vibration felt when using a high gear at high cadence/heavy loading. This is variously described as vibration through the frame, the bars or you saddle and sounds harsh. I think this is a characteristic of this drive system as many have...

    Chain wear?

Check your chain length again using the instructions given by the late, great Sheldon Brown. https://www.sheldonbrown.com/derailer-adjustment.html#chain

    Off Road vs Road Tyres

If you use your bike mainly on road, then it makes no sense to use anything remotely knobbly. I swapped mine out for Scwalbe Almotions, albeit with tubes. They are superb on road. https://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reader/marathon-almotion.html

Rather an unpleasant and unnecessary response to a new member:confused:

Chain slipping in hardest cog on rear

OK. Here is a technical article from the master of cycle mechanics. This will explain better than I (although I spent forty years as an engineer). https://www.sheldonbrown.com/chain-wear.html also https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/article/bicycle-chain-wear-explained-46015/

Chain slipping in hardest cog on rear

That's just it. With a worn chain the rollers move slightly further apart under tension because the pins on which the roller rotate become worn. When the rollers then contact the sprocket teeth they do not locate exactly between the teeth, but rather slide down the tooth edges, thus producing...

Chain slipping in hardest cog on rear

Check the chain wear with a suitable gauge. If it is worn then it will soon cream cracker the new sprocket.

Drivers could face minimum distance for overtaking cyclists

I don't care how old the car is, I don't want my blood on their car or scratches on my bike:)

Drivers could face minimum distance for overtaking cyclists

Let's face it, the majority of these morons have little fear of harming a cyclist and even less fear of getting caught. When was the last time you saw a jam sandwich patrolling? When did you last hear of a cyclist killer receiving a worthwhile sentence?

    Bosch Performance CX Sprocket

15 to 20 teeth is a huge change in gearing. You may well be happy with a 16 or 17 tooth sprocket which will likely fit straight on.

Cube Touring Hybrid v Carrera Crossfire

I have a Cube touring hybrid but it is a2017 model with the CX motor. There are certainly no issues with lack of power so I can only assume the Active line motor is the culprit The torque figure for the CX is 75nm as opposed to the Active Line Plus' 50nm. Says all really.
