    Smaller & Lighter eBike

Look at Isalbikes: https://www.islabikes.co.uk/pages/technical-support though I'd be slightly wary as (a) they have stooped manufacturing (b) they use a proprietary system (Mahle SmartBike Systems X35+, 250W, Max Torque: 40Nm with Islabikes tune) (c) they have 26" wheels (I thought they were...

"Brompton weighs in on better battery laws to clamp down on eBike fires "

I'm sure that if Certsure make a suitable contribution to party funds the current government will be happy rush through some unthoughout legislation.

Where? Have you kept the battery always charged above 40% while not using it?

    Switching from swytch

Excellent, ... but I think you should say 'switch from Swytch'

Ali express - buying a new battery in the future.

and much easier to handle any issues if you do have them. For example: I recently bought a replacement battery from Woosh. They accidently sent the wrong one; a pity but mistakes do happen. I contacted them. The next day the courier delivered the right one and collected the wrong one.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Clarification, just in case OP isn't quite sure. That is: disconnect the electric wire from the brake to the controller. No need to change any mechanical/hydraulic aspects of the brake.

    Video Editing Software for PC.

I probably use ctrl-Z more than any other shortcut as it works in almost all applications, and I make lots of mistakes and tests whatever I am doing. Only major irritation is that some apps use ctrl-Y for redo, and some use shift-ctrl-Z

Knee issues, heavy rider, good power, 1500gbp budget help please

If a throttle is used the whole time that is true. If it is used more discriminately (*) it will help the rider over the bits that would otherwise be difficult and potentially damaging, while still giving him plenty of exercise for the remaining 98% of the ride. (*) It's odd how 'discriminate'...

I don't use Vegas, but almost certainly ctrl-Z works for undo. If you use it a lot you'll probably find that much more convenient than a button anyway.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Post a couple of photos including one of the display; that will help people know exactly what parts it has and so what the error display might mean.

    Fat bloke on a folder

Whoops, sorry. I stupidly looked for 'folder' on that page; I should just have looked for 'fold' or 'folding'.

    Fat bloke on a folder

Sadly none of those is a folder. I was wrong there!

    Wisper 806 Torque

I had to tighten the spokes on my Woosh XF07 front hub after about 4 years. I must admit I should have done it a bit earlier, but .... p.s. that is on a tandem, so plenty of extra weight.

    Ebike life

Feeling a bit slow this morning; it took me a few moments to interpret that, I assumed I must have made a typo in my post and you were (sensibly) taking the ****. Yes, they posted the bomb inclusive in the price.

Newbie dipping his toe into the world of Ebikes

It's also illegal to ride in any place accessible to the general public, such as bridleways, cycle paths, canal paths, etc. Only legal on private land with no right of public access, and with the permission of the landowner. I'm not sure about the rules for BOATs (byways open to all traffic)...

    Ebike life

Our tandem is 12 years old, for half of that it has had a Woosh XF07 conversion. Our Motus (Bosch drive) is 8 years old, we bought it when it was about 2. No electric related costs in that time, until I recently replaced batteries on both. Neither completely dead, but clearly deteriorating. I...

Dipping my toe in the water

The 20 in the Dawes Arc 20 is the wheel size. I don't know the difference between the I and the II. The Osprey looks as if it has very standard parts in case of any issues. The Dawes is fairly standard, but a bit questionable on how special the frame integrated battery is. The battery is also...
