    Throttle retrofit

I have an NCM Milano 48V which, in the main, I am very happy with. I have 2 main quibbles both of which I believe could be resolved if it had a throttle, namely: -hill starts (anything that isn't totally flat or preferably down hill, it is such a heavy beast ) - very slow for motor to kick in...

Help! light bike very good on steep hills?

Yes the battery is a significant part of the weight (4.5kg I think). Fortunately, I don't envisage needing to carry it very much and will avoid getting into situations where I will have to (until I've done enough strengthening exercises and look like Gina Carano!)

Help! light bike very good on steep hills?

Exactly. My priorities were hills and affordability. I had to compromise on something.

Help! light bike very good on steep hills?

I knew exactly how much it weighed before I bought it, what shocked me was what 27kg actually feels like to ride and how it takes all my strength to lift it.

Help! light bike very good on steep hills?

I'm really pleased with my NCM Milano because it gets me up the hills but I was shocked by the weight (27kg) and there's no way I could take it on a train like I did with my non -electric bike. Lots of people obsessing about needing a folder for trains - I presume this is a London/South of...

Help! Looking for advice on E-bike purchase

Woosh bikes look great but they have very little in stock til the end of May. I've just bought one of these as recommended by someone on this forum. https://www.leoncycle.co.uk/NCM-Milano-Trekking-E-Bike Only had it 3 days but loving it so far. They only have the 28" in stock at the moment but...

    Bikes available to buy now

Many thanks for your recommendation. I've had this bike for 3 days now and absolutely love it. Delivery was super quick and assembly was a doddle. I spent longer trying to get my old Ortlieb panniers to fit properly and attaching then removing a bottle rack ( which made it impossible to step...

I don't have a bike I want to convert so a kit's no good to me anyway.

    Bikes available to buy now

If I put my typical journeys into the Predictor on the Woosh site it only recommends the Santana CD, big bear and krieger. Do you think this is wrong? Would I end up having to push the Santana 3 or would i just go very slowly?

Wow I love it! And it's in budget So you think Santana 3 would be no good to me on the hills? Hatti at woosh put me off the santana CD as I could potentially damage the motor if I didn't choose gears correctly/pedal fast enough.

    Bikes available to buy now

After a great deal of thought I've decided the Santana 3 from Woosh is the bike for me but they don't have stock til the end of May. Can anyone recommend a similar bike available sooner? I'm 90kg and 175cm tall with a dodgy knee. There are hills (20%+) in all directions from my house and the...
