    New battery conditioning questions?

Thanks, thats useful and reassuring to know. It did cross my mind I had a lemon for a battery but if I get 25 miles out of it that would be plenty enough, I only have a 9 mile round trip commute.

    New battery conditioning questions?

Thanks Flecc, The charge I started with was what was given to me in the shop so maybe it was only half charge. I'll be able to try again in a couple of days it's currently in a garge 7 miles away so I'll have to wait for a chance to go and collect!

    New battery conditioning questions?

Hi, Thanks to everyone for their advice on getting started with an ebike. I’ve just got a Freego Kingfisher with a 10ah battery and picked it up new on Saturday. I probably covered about 10 miles on Saturday over mixed terrain using various levels of assist and even a couple of miles of...

Thanks Bob thats really useful advice. My commute is only actually 4.5 miles although there are some serious slopes to climb, I guess 10ah will handle it no problem.

    Freego Kingfisher or Eagle?

Hi Thanks for the advice. The one I tried was the larger capacity battery however it was not fully charged but still handled a 12 mile route with some serious hills really well. Which one to choose

Thats useful to know that power and exercise aren't mutually exclusive. I'm no fitness fanatic but cycling is my way of doing myself a bit of good and if I can work that into my new commute all the better.:)

    Which one to choose

Interesting to see the different attitudes to power assist. I would quite like to feel I was at least getting some exercise but maybe a Wisper or a bike like that would make you work a bit in peddle assist, a lot are advertised saying you can arrive at work fresh and then work out on the way...
