    Wisper 905 recharging problem

I put my Wisper 905 on charge the other night and instead of the green LED turning yellow after a few seconds and the fan kicking in, it just stayed on green. The battery is definitely low as it's showing only 2 LEDs out of 6. I tried using my old charger from my previous Wisper, and that just...

    Wisper charger port faulty?

David, When a business fails to answer the phone for several days it is more than 'a glitch'. And the 'communication problems' were yours, not mine. Regards Andy

    Wisper charger port faulty?

I waited for a response from Wisper but unfortunately your colleague never contacted me. I have since sorted the problem out myself. Regards Andy

    Wisper charger port faulty?

I had a problem last year when the charger port on the battery became loose and my charger was going straight to green. I opened the battery up and tightened the retaining nut up (and blew the charger fuse but then replaced it). Everything was then ok. But I've had the same thing happen again...

    Blind spot

Given the ready availability and affordability of the optical-digital technology we have today, there is absolutely no excuse for any vehicle on our roads to have a blind spot. It's all down to indifferent politicians and an industry that's a law unto itself (as evidenced by the huge proportion...

    Hydraulic disc brakes

I replaced the hopeless cable operated front disc brake on my wisper with a Clarkes Skeletal hydraulic one...it cost £39 plus £25 fitting (it had to be bled etc). It was a little better, but just completely failed after a day. I then bought a Shimano Deore M596 for £40. I found it very easy to...

    Battery failing to accept charge

Looks like you're spot on Dave with 'Faulty charge fuse in the battery' I can see it's blown but I can't read the rating - my eyes aren't up to it!! Any idea where I could get a replacement?

    Battery failing to accept charge

I noticed a few days ago that when I attached the charger plug into the battery (Wisper 905) and turned it on the LED went straight from yellow to Green after a second or two. I thought perhaps the plug/socket was worn as I could sometimes get it to work by putting some pressure on the plug...

Crackdown on drivers abusing Cyclists Advance Stop boxes

I've had endless correspondence with the Corporation of London (C of L) and the City police about this and I knew it was coming. About six months ago I was invited out with a City policeman to see how 'impossible' it was to enforce ASLs; 'it's not an offence if they enter it on amber'. For two...

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

Flecc, I'm not ranting about lorry drivers, I'm ranting against the commonly held opinion that accidents involving lorries and cyclists are invariably the cyclist's fault. You know none of the details of the recent tragedies, yet rant on about them as if they're without doubt another example of...

Yet Another London Cyclist Death Today

Now who's presenting disparate facts 'I'm 77 so I must be right.' Articulated vehicles do move sideways. In both cases the victims were dragged round the corner from the stop line by the lorries until in one case the cyclist was crushed against the railings - 18inches from the curb on the...
