for sale KALKHOFF AGATTU IMPULSE 2.0

The bike is in immaculate condition. I bought it last year from 50 Cycles but have only done 72 miles on it. I have finally, very reluctantly. had to recognise that at the age of 83 things aint what they used to be and that my cycling days are over. So this lovely machine deserves a new owner...

    Back again

Not really a newcomer to pedelecs. Have been a member for a few years but what with one thing and another went AWOL so to speak. So I'm back and delighted to report that despite my now 80 years am still happily getting about on my Gazelle Easy Glider. :it revolutionised my cycling when I bought...

    Battery Life

This may sound stupid (I am strictly non technical) but how do you know when a battery is coming to, or is at the end of its time. Do you just get less miles per charge? Is that a gradual process, or does the mileage suddenly drop off? Or does the battery completely give up one morning and...

    Gazelle Easy Glider Battery

I haven't visited the forum for quite a while, not out of lack of interest, rather I have been happily riding about on my pedelec - or as I prefer to call it my magic carpet. I bought my Easy Glider in 2008. I was 76 and unable to walk very far at all. The bike, and its technology, transformed...

    Axa defender lock

I seem to have mislaid the spare key for my lock. I know the key number but can someone tell me where I can buy a spare (preferably on line) I was told Axa have a web site for this but I cannot find it

    Achieving recommended P.s.i

The recommended tyre pressures for my Gazelle Easy Glider are 80/85 psi. The valves are schrader. To get there needs a track pump. I have 2 of these. The one I keep in Spain, a pump I have had for many years, will make 80 psi without any problems. The one I have here at home - a much newer one...

    Panasonic System Noise

The panasonic system on my gazelle has started making a knocking noise - of a gentle rather than a harsh sound. It is not all the time and I have not been able to spot any consistent reason for when it does happen. The only consistency is that it always happens on the downward thrust of my left...

    Puncture problem

So yesterday morning I go to get on my Gazelle and the front tyre is definitively, unmistakably FLAT! So much for guarantees etc. Anyway the good news was that it was the front wheel which is much easier to deal with. Also the hole in the tube is easy to find, it is quite big and near to the...

    panasonic system

I remember reading that you must not attempt to switch on the system whilst pedalling. Does that mean only whilst stationary? What about say a long level or even downhill road where power is not needed, but at the end there is a hill. Can you switch on whilst freewheeling? On a similar them...

    Bike Mirror

A question for Flecc. As I recall you recommend a Cateye mirror. I shall be spending the summer in Spain, HOPEFULLY doing lots of riding on my new, long, long awaited Kalkoff. My question is: is that mirror ambidextrous ie can it be just as easily fitted on the end of the left handlebar? David

    The British and bikes

I have often wondered what it is in the British psyche that makes them anti-bicycle. Perhaps it had its origins in the earliest days when the rich young men - the only ones who could afford them - went hurtling around on their Oridinaries seemingly terrifying old ladies and animals. It is an...

    Agattu batteries

In his review Flecc says that the battery should be fully discharged 2/ 3 times initially and then kept topped up thereafter. Given my age, current physical condition, and the fact that there are no flat roads anywhere near my home it will obviously be impossible for me to cycle far enough to...

    Hydraulic brakes

Flecc I see that the new Tasman has hydraulic brakes. I didn't know that bicycles could have such things. Can you enlighten me about them, please? What are their advantages/disadvantages? David
