Another build as I've been missing my hardtail bike after selling the Cannondale SL1 Lefty...frame bought in the CRC sale for £160, the rest is from garage spares...Fox Factory 34 CTD forks, Mavic Crossmax WTS 275 Enduro wheels, Hope Tech3 E4 brakes (203/180), etc, etc...top speed on the flat is 39.1mph (according to Strava) running a 60V~ (full charge) battery with a 30ish mile range, but after getting used to FS bikes over the last few years it is a nightmare to keep in a straight line at speed on the trails...the colour combination has prompted a few favourable comments whilst out, although I'm a bit unsure about it myself.

What is the gearing,i have a BBSHD with a 49 chainring and 11 at the back on 700c wheels with 35mm road slicks and i`m spinning out at 110 cadence for 40mph.

52/11...using pedaling, then throttle and tucked position for the 39.1 (pics show it fitted with the 38t NW for trail use) as I can't keep up with the pedals after 30 or so either.

SPD pedals? You should be able to spin to 120 rpm (70 km/h). On an upright aerodynamics are a bigger issue than spinning out surely? I have never been able to go beyond 67 km/h on an upright and I wasn't pedalling at the time.

I think if I was going to mount a BBSHD on the trike I would have a 54-38 road double up front. When I get up to those kind of speeds I have pedal steer, we will see if SPD pedals cure that problem because I feel the issue is foot position slipping at high rpm.
