Tommie,
Either you are privy to some knowledge which the rest of us are not aware... And this is possible .
Or you know a lot less about this subject than is sensible
Or you have a touching faith in the ability of the UK political class to work a miracle,
Why else would you celebrate a national Day of self harm.?
Which of these is it?

Easily confused would be a better description , to fall for the biggest con in a lifetime, but then so have a lot more.
Just exactly what have they promised you, Tommie?
Did they kid you that if you believed their lies you were being Patriotic?
The Daily Mail was a supporter of the Nazi Party in the 1930's did you know? and they are behind this now.
Did you think that having frightened you about immigration the Conservatives would actually do something about it, even though they never have even with the ones they had the power to stop coming?
Heres the latest from the Telegraph this morning
Brexit deal: 3 million EU citizens allowed to stay in UK permanently - and will get same rights as Britons
Read the press about it and the hostile reader's comments too.

It's all coming apart isn't it, all the lies they've told and the false promises they made.

You won't get independence, just to be held down as a wage slave under new Tory masters.
They'll teach you to "know your place"
Congratulations.

The European Union
"Theresa May makes 'fair and serious' offer on rights of EU citizens in UK"

Right! Sounds like they are in real trouble now doesn't it...

As we suspected May and co will end up agreeing to everything and making it out to have been achieved against the odds, as a great victory, when in fact they are queueing for handouts from the EU.
It would have been cheaper to let the EU send the a list to sign without all this time being wasted.
After all we haven't got a single politician capable of understanding what they are supposedly negotating for instance
"
Michael Gove will 'not be dictated to by the EU' as he pledges Brexit deal for fishermen
MICHAEL Gove is “proud” of British fishermen and will “secure” them the best possible deal as he will not be “dictated to” by Brussels."

What one might ask does he know about Fish or Fishermen? this was the Clown who's maths skills stopped at saying "He wanted all schools to be above Average" as he ballsed up Education.
We didn't notice much in the way of Pride when the Hull and Grimsby fishing industries went down the pan at the time of the "Cod Wars"
As an aside if we are "Taking back control" why are we "Negotiating a deal" on fishing with the EU anyway? that is tantamount to an admission that we actually need (As we all know, but Brexit voters don't seem to) set controls on Fishing levels.
You can see how this will work out! after a "Battle" nothing will change.....but there will be a propaganda victory for the Press to trumpet.

Tomie, where did you get that image? Churchill shouldn't be on there as this is what he said at the end of the Second World War
"
What is this sovereign remedy? (To wars)

It is to re-create the European Family, or as much of it as we can, and provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom.

We must build a kind of United States of Europe.

In this way only will hundreds of millions of toilers be able to regain the simple joys and hopes which make life worth living."

You've been had by these "Leave EU" con men haven't you?

A rather astute Sitrep in the Independent
"
We now have a climate change sceptic in charge of environment, a man who hates Europe in charge of Brexit, an NHS enemy in charge of health and a PM who hates human contact
Did I mention that our justice secretary also has an appalling voting record on LGBT rights?

What could possibles go wrong with such a dazzling team?

What's so bad about this news? Why is everyone getting a hard-on over it?

I think it's rather good that these EU citizens know where they stand and now have stability for the future.
Getting desperate to make a silk purse out of a sows ear tillson? would you like me to quote previous governent statements about making "the Battle of the summer" about the sequence of events?
Have you read any of the readers comments in the Mail and Express? they regard this as a "Sell out!"
The brexit voters are not happy!
Having said that there really wasn't an option, just as the only option is to do, act and when the EU says "Jump!" ask how high? is there?

It's great news and was inevitable anyway, but most Brexiters won't see it that way. They just didn't want foreigners here, and certainly not in millions.
.
Alas you are correct, and the reader's comments in the Gutter Press reflect that mood this morning.
The Express actually tried to score out of it by comparing the numbers of our people in the EU and the number of people here from the EU in a 3 to 1 ratio.

The comments in the Mail and Express are the views of a few hundred idiot people out of 17 million sensible people who voted for BREXIT. Relax.

Let me help with that
"The comments in the Mail and Express are the views of a few hundred idiot people out of 17 million sensible people who voted for BREXIT thinking it was a good idea at the time. Relax.
If they still do, what happened to being sensible?
Speaking of which, Morning to you Zlatan!

I think they were the cheer leaders for the rest who mostly felt the same way but were beaten to it by the cheer leaders.

Once again "You lost, we won" returns to bite the Brexiters. Eventually they'll realise they won nothing.

  • All of the 3.2million EU nationals currently in the UK will be allowed to stay
  • They will enjoy the same healthcare, education, welfare and pensions as Brits
  • In return, the million British citizens living on the continent will not be disrupted

Still unfair of course, the other 27 countries have around 7 times our UK population, so to be propoprtional to our 1 million there, we should have 7 millions of theirs here. :)
