My dad has a Czech electric bicycle to be repaired in which the display is damaged. He has a second display and controller for it. Unfortunately, cheaper and slightly different. So he thought he would replace only the display itself. Only that the old one was connected to 6 wires and the new one has 5 + 2. He can also swap the controller but: he would have to re-solder most of the plugs. And the second problem is that on the brake levers there are hall sensors which are not supported by the new controller. He can, of course, not connect these sensors and it will also work, but he would like to do it the way it was and should be.
As for the question itself: is it possible to connect this display to installed controller? The type of display is in the screen, the description of the controller is also in the picture
The problem is that there are 6 wires coming out of the controller and the display has 5+2.
