It amazes me just how many dipsticks force an overtake between me (the cyclist) and on coming traffic. It's why I ride further out than those guys were, to make sure an approaching driver is left in no doubt that they will have to cross the white line to get past me. Having said that I would not ride such a busy road - but then I have the luxury of choice and I'm not on a time trial.

Im the same i avoid busy roads where possible allthou i do cycle a lot of quiet back lanes where i live
