sorry for the length of that i was thinking of 2 of these as a back up pack.I do run 11.1 v 10ah booster at the mo to a 36v Li-on which works well but am a big chap and I'm getting 12 miles on That set up & 20 miles if i keep the watts pull be low 10 as a poss to 19 amps full Throttle. Still Pedaling when all this is going on
My imax charger is 5a so i suppose it will it will be OK

They're easier to wire, but it works out quite expensive for 10aH 12S lipos.

Sorry if you consider this a thread hijack

But... Can I ask what your booster is ? Lipo or a another type

I ask as I use laptop batteries of various chemistries but not lipo

I have a totally unsubstantiated feeling that the high c rating of lipo might hurt my main pack z- I think I read something on endless sphere but looking for real world users ! There is one other person here who has no issues with lipo

My Booster packs are lipo's i first try (2) 7.4 volt 5ah which gave me on average about 4 Miles more on high amp trip 6 miles more if i kept the amp pull around 10 my controller will pull 20 amps max
the second pack is (2) 11.1 volt 5ah This pack is the one am using at the moment gyves me on average 7 miles on high use & 11 Miles on Motor pull 10 amps
I monitor my batteries with watts up meter which reads my 36 volt li-on this still cut out at 29 volts and all the lipo;s are about 3.65 volts when the Main Batteries is spent
I am no expert on this but i do monitor the batteries at i travel and it seams to work for me i have done about 1,000 miles with no problems
hope this has helped
