Hi there, first of all i'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this thread.
So i'm from Portugal and i want to convert a old mtb mondraker (26") for commuting.

I was looking everywhere and there is so much information that i don't know where to start.

This is what i've been looking at, please tell me your thoughts and if will it work or not.
My budget is arround 500€ (more or less) and I'm looking for a 1000w hub kit to do around 50km (30miles) per day.
I'm thinking if this will work:
26" 1000w 48v rear hub with LCD - 240€

2x 22.2v (In series) 6s 16Ah lipo - 74.61€ x2 (~150€)
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/multistar-high-capacity-6s-16000mah-multi-rotor-lipo-pack.html

And i think i would need a charger too but haven't looked into that yet.

My questions are:
Is the kit reliable?
Are the batteries compatible with the kit?
Will the batteries give me enough range for my 30miles?

Thanks in advance guys.

The kit you linked to is only 160€. It would be better to pay a bit more and ket a similar kit with an LCD. They have a much better pedal assist function.

In case you don't know, there's a couple of drawbacks with those big direct drive motors: They're very heavy and don't freewheel very well, so they're very unpleasant to pedal without power. Secondly they're normally very fast. if you ride them in any sort of restricted mode in an attempt to comply with the law, they run very inefficiently, so a normal 250w motor will give more power and more range.

Also,it's my opinion from my interpretation of EN15194, that those motors cannot be made legal by running in restricted mode. They're therefore illegal to use on the road in the EU.
