Lady Bower.

Stunning trip around Lady Bower this morning..got there 8 ish..24 miles. Average 7.9 mph..couple of massive climbs , one turned out a dead end ( the stone gravel path lead to a no go area for mtb , horrible deep rutted / muddy path so came back down...)
Great ride tho..
Not sure this is in right place. Photos don't do scenery justice and that path was VFS on steepness scale..

This is interesting, its on Lady Bower quite near Bamford, below Winn Hill.
Its the only HBDF in region. Looks impressive but a bit intimidating..

Only the ones light enough to be picked up and thrown over wall can be dealt with here, so not that many are upcycled here. Most have to go up the slight hill just behind this facility. Don't worry though there is help available to get to top..( big smilie)

Like the old Reliant, which was brilliant even though they're often derided by guys with crank-drives, who are normally the butt of any Reliant owners joke, buses are organised to take members to gatherings.

Reliants were brilliant, as anyone that actually had one would know. I had three: Supervan (£110), Regal (£30) and Robin (£700). Reliant owners invented drifting round corners like Jeremy Clarkson tries to copy. I dreamt of owning a Rialto, but then got round to passing my car test, so I got an Escort. Life was never the same again.

Aged 4, bumping around Bradford in the back of my Dad's Robin Reliant ( no seatbelts of course) was a terrifying experience for me and my Sister.....we were so glad when we went up in the world and he got a Lada- which had a manual crank starter inserted through the front grille!

The one thing you needed with a Reliant ( you all assumed I meant three wheelers, they built Scimitar and thousands of London taxi cabs)
was a sense of humour, not sure how d8 coped..
To describe Reliant 3 wherlers as a good car, well sorry, but they just weren,t.. They were actually very expensive too..my best mate owned biggest Reliant dealership in North for years, grew up tinkering with them..never drove one far tho...I daren't.
Not a bad little engine tho...always wanted a bond bug....
Thing is they got 3 wheeler all wrong
, makes loads more sense to have 2 at front and one at back...as Morgan and BSA did...
Thought about a Morgan 3 wheeler...would love one...

A bond bug was different class..Villiers 200cc engine which to start you opened the bonnet and kick started it, one door on the passenger side, but provided it had no reverse gear you could drive it at sixteen. Convertible. What's not to like.

Picnic ever 2 miles...biscuits, jelly, fruit and pop in trailer...All good fun.
