Noisy hub motor

Hi all,
New here, i have a 250w geared hub motor which has been fine for a few months. It has developed a loud noise both under load and when spinning free (in the air). It is under warranty but im jusy wondering what would cause this and if its avoidable for the future or a simple repair.

sounds like needing some grease on the nylon gears.
how many miles have you done so far?

That'd be perfect if thats all it is, ive done about 500 miles on it

So tonight i went for a ride until the noise started, then greased the gears and tested again and all seems good so far. Thanks for your advice
