Oops first big mishap lol

so building a battery today new Samsung 2600mAh while i was doing the spot-welding was getting the other wires ready, stripped soldered ect. so started putting the wires on the cells.

now i'm not 100% sure what happened, but i think one of my live connected with a neutral. was something like that. wow talk about quick. smoke first the flames as the cell holder melted and caught light. i was in the back end so had to grab it and take it outside.

so after stripping back down, 4 cells distroyied totally the rest tested ok. you live and learn. one wire at a time. though im still not 100% what connected where, but both the main live and charging wires were melted and the were only connected at one end to the cells. so it had to be the cause.

You have to be very careful with any bared wires or bits of Nickel strip, obviously you shorted some cells .

 KFF comes to mind :p.

Only strip one wire at a time and best to solder end feed charge and discharge connectors away from cells before soldering to cells.
