Probably not 'technical', although it is to me.
I want to fit a Blackburn mtf rack
http://www.blackburndesign.com/racks/mtf-1-front.html#.U58BOy8Rm_5
on the front of my bike.
The only mounting points are mudguard lugs, tugged inconveniently away.
Thus, I was thinking of using P Clips, at the top and bottom of each suspension fork, but looking at various other forums a lot of (proper) cyclists seems very sniffy about P Clips.
I assume this is just 'cos they don't want their shiney paintwork obscured by scruffy clips. Are there any good reasons to avoid P Clips?
Also, for stability, I'd want to put the clips high up and low down on each leg - is this the best position for them?
Thanks. Pics below.
