I fitted a Yose power kit to a Carrera Crossfire 18 months ago and have done 1800 happy miles-a few days ago I lost power-checked all connectors-bike ok in walk mode so assume battery (fully charged) motor and controller are ok-removed pedal sensor-inner ring seems seized-only rotate with great difficulty..how freely should inner ring that grips crank rotate ?

It should rotate easily, independent from the outer. The two halves unclip, so pull it apart and see what the problem is. Personally, I prefer the magnet disc type pedal sensors (8 or 10 magnets).

As vfr has said one is best to dump the V12L type and fit a two piece PAS, they are far more reliable and rarely give issues.

Thanks for the replies-while I wait for the replacement PAS, a thumb throttle was included in the kit which I did'nt fit--if I fit this will it work without a PAS ?
