Protecting Battery Terminals Against Corrosion

What do people use to protect their battery terminals against corrosion?

Dielectric grease? Silicone grease? What's the difference? Both are silicone based and non-conductive.

Vaseline also works if you already have it. Long ago it was a preferred option for this purpose.

They had silicone spray lubricant in the pound shop. I gave my locks and battery and controller contacts a little squirt of that.

I thought of that today, but I don't think we have any. I do have plenty of silicone grease though.
