Hi,

I've got a none functional battery BMS, just says LT-PD64U on the back of it. Could not find the exact model, however wish to buy a like for like or better. Those knowledgeable could kindly recommend alternatives please? I'm seeing some £10 ones, but barely a clue if any good.

it's 10s5p 36v battery pack.

The Chinese writing below states (as per google translate):
LT-PD53U is a protective board solution specially designed by Litongwei Company for 7~13 string battery packs such as electric bicycles and power tools. It can be applied to lithium batteries with different chemical properties, such as lithium ion, lithium polymer, ternary lithium, etc. .
The protection board has strong load capacity and the maximum continuous current can reach 25A. The protection board has a 1A USB power supply, which can automatically identify various mobile phones and intelligently control USB power output.

You can use any BMS you want. they nearly all do the same job. Look for one that has the same features as your present one, like a switch if it has it. Temperature sensor is always useful.

There's a high probability that the multi-pin connector will need rewiring. You can have 9, 10 or 11 pins on the connector, depending on how it's wired, and, more important, the connections can be completely reversed on the connector, even when it has the same number of pins, so check that first. Basically, check every wire on it from first principles.

Thanks.

Hmm, actually forgot about the switch. The four pin slot up top plugs into a USB plug, kind of handy I guess, but not critical, doubt I can find a board that has that also.

Edit:

Managed to find these with a switch, however the amps are less than the old one. Ideally would like for like.

You can use a separate USB module. There are loads of different ones that you can find on Aliexpress and Ebay. Here's an example. just connect two wires:

Some of those small BMSs don't appear to have balancing. They claim that they do, though they don't have the lines of bleed resistors and other components. maybe they do it differently, but I don't trust them. You just have to keep searching to find what you want.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, thanks for the link.

Yeah, noticed one reviewer mentioned this, so I guess when it comes I'll double check. Odd.

What do you think of this saneagle?

If it's what they say in the listing, it should be OK, but other ones said they had balancing, but appeared not to have. You won't know until it comes and you look on the pcb - if you can see enough under the heatsink.
