I noticed my rear wheel has a cap with a wire going into it. How do i remove:-

1) The cap without breaking the wire
2) What's underneath it
3) Is it easy to remove if i need to repair a puncture road side?

There's eight wires in that cable into the motor and it's fixed in the spindle, take care not to twist or damage it.

By freeing up any cable fixings near the wheel it's possible to remove the wheel carefully with the cable in place to slip a new tube or tyre in.

To repair a puncture though, you don't need to remove the wheel. Just take off the tyre side on the non-chain side of the wheel and you can take the tube out, locate the puncture and repair it easily. The slightly inflated tube will pass around inside the frame to locate the puncture.
