I am about to display my ignorance here and ask a stupid question. be gentle.

If I am using 100w of my own power and I have a 250w (max) motor do I just add them together to get total output or is it that too simple?

yes but under the 15mph limit a motor can use a lot more than 250w esp if climbing a steep hill.

Thanks, I know that the wattage of the motor depends on volts*amps, I just wondered if it was really as simple as adding my own power to get the total and not some complicated formula. :D

most mid drive motors like bosch has a 20a controller so under the 15mph limit you can pull 800w from a motor.

i have a dongle to remove the speed limit so can hit over 30mph on the flat tho this half's the range.
