EBCO Eagle LSL50 flashing battery icon

Hi, on further investigation, I can confirm that a non genuine 36v,10A cell pack has been fitted in the BL05 enclosure. Because the original bms with its I2C interface is not present, the display goes into a fault mode "flashing battery icon" on power up. Unfortunately Tranxz cannot sell a BMS...

EBCO Eagle LSL50 flashing battery icon

A bit more research on this. Apparently the Tranxz BL-05 battery pack that comes with this bike is a little more complicated than first thought! The battery BMS communicates directly with the display via a 2 wire I2C bus, and can detect whether a genuine 36V battery is installed. I suspect...

EBCO Eagle LSL50 flashing battery icon

Hi there, I also tested the ebco bike with another 36v lithium pack which I use on my main commute ebike. I built this pack and wired the bms myself. I just swapped the connectors. This pack measures near enough to 42v. I see the same flashing battery icon. The issue must be somewhere else...

EBCO Eagle LSL50 flashing battery icon

Hi all, I have a ebco eagle lsl50 with a battery flashing icon on the display and there is no power to the motor. The battery is absolutely fine, charged and measured @42v. This bike has its controller built into the front wheel hub. I assume the bike is in some sort of service mode? Can...

    BMS (time to balance)

Hi guys, So i have a 10S5P on charge with a new BMS fitted. The initial charge from RED to GREEN measured 40.80V. I've left the charger plugged in for at least 12 hours and the voltage is now measuring 41.06volts. The BMS is one of these...

    Possible BMS issue?

Yes, that's exactly what I've done. 1st set charged nicely to 20.4v. Measured with volt meter. Now charging the next side. Max stable charge current I could get out of the imax is 3A.

    Possible BMS issue?

Yes, I was hoping that the BMS could manage that side of things but it doesn't want to play. Any suggestions?

    Possible BMS issue?

    Hello, yes sorry the output voltage of the power supply is 42v measured with a fluke meter. I measured each cell (C) group C1 3.91v C2 3.90v C3 3.82v C4 3.82v C5 3.82v C6 3.80v C7 3.93v C8 3.55v C9 3.7v C10 4.0v C8 was the lowest voltage. I managed yesterday to charge all groups to at least...

    Possible BMS issue?

Hi All, I have a 10S4P battery arrangement, each cell was charged and tested, and measurement of each cell was between 4.1v to 4.2v when done. I built the pack up and measured 41.5v across the output. I bought one of these BMS...

    Wisper 905SE

Hi all, great to join and be part of the community! I've just purchased a second hand wisper 905SE (older style) that had been sitting in the shed for quite some time. I've charged the 36V battery and all seems ok. Turning the key, i get a full charge indication on the LED's. Issue is, on the...
