Looking for step through bike for my wife?

Thanks for the advice about in-frame batteries. So with that in mind my wife and I did further research and as budget was limited we went to for this one,a Zipper Z2. It has a battery on the rear carrier, so we hope that will make it easy to replace. She also liked the "shopper" style and as an...

Looking for step through bike for my wife?

Woosh, My wife is 5' 8" and about 65kg (guess). We live in Bungay in Suffolk, so pretty flat. Gear shifting isn't a problem, doesn't need a full throttle but I'm sure she wouldn't mind if the bike had one. No suspension needed. Range probably 30 miles as journeys are likely to be under 10 miles.

Looking for step through bike for my wife?

Seems a new battery is quite expensive as well! so how long do batteries last? Also, do more expsneive bikes have better quality batteries? Would it better and cheaper long term to buy a more upmarket bike?

Looking for step through bike for my wife?

I'm new to electric bikes and so I've been looking around for a good but modestly priced electric bike for a while. My wife needs a bike for shopping and getting around town. Luckily where we live there aren't any hills so she doesn't need a powerful motor. Also, I don't want to spend a lot as...

Where I live is pretty flat and most of my journeys will be in town, no real hills. I don't plan to cycle out of town. The other bike I've looked at is this Zipper bike. A couple of online shops sell them. What are they like...

    Hello Pedelecs

I'm looking for a dutch style, as I mentioned. There seem to be many on the market and I've been looking at a couple in the £600 to £700 price range (which is more my budget) from e-BikesDirect and RCToyWorld. The first is from e-BikesDirect, their Sahara model...

    Hello Pedelecs

I'm a bit confused by the throttle capability on ebikes. From what i read throttles have been banned under new laws unless you continue pedalling. But your description for the Santana3 says it has a throttle and that you do not need to pedal. Can you please clarify?

    Best, easiest bike to derestrict?

I've heard that the Zipper bikes are easy to de-restrict from what I've read so far. Saying that I've still new to the world of ebikes.

    Hello Pedelecs

I'm looking for an ebike and with so many now on the market I don't know where to start. I'm looking for a step through or dutch style bike, so I'm hoping these forums can quide me. regards Ben
