It's a tadpole, so one rear wheel.

    Help! Electric Avenue help please

Unfortunately KT have not yet incorporated a controller setting for welsh weather. Rumours are that they're working on setting c21 which will send intense bursts of Kate Bush at the next hill top, thus giving dry weather one valley at a time. Dream on bach ! :D

    Big Battery Cells

On the face of it this looks to be a great product for eapc's. As said, with the discharge current we use (say 20A) these things should last well with 10 in series. I just measured my existing 14Ah rack battery case. It's 140mmW x 350mmL x 60mmH. My tiny brain can't see a physical...

The Anything Thread that is Never off subject.

Those who can afford expensive tax advisors/lawyers end up paying far less percentage tax than those who can't afford them. How's that fair? I'm not saying that what I proposed would work or is practical. But it's time we started to think that there must be a better way to fund government...

Back to my original point. The tax code is way too complex. The amount of energy that's wasted arguing the toss about all this is stupendous and could be far more creatively used. Let's light the blue touchpaper and stand well back. Simply pay 20% of everything that goes into your bank account...

The Anything Thread that is Never off subject.

Great, lets all trust Chat GPT to work out our tax liability. I'm sure it'll handle the complexities of the self employed accurately :p What would happen if my version og Gpt argued with the I.R. version? Wasn't there an episode of The Prisoner where a computer was repeatedly asked the question...

Further to this - I've been working and paying tax since I was 16. I've been told that part of this is to pay for the NHS. In Wales it is impossible to get an NHS dentist, so we have to pay. My wife is in a great deal of pain at the moment, needing a hip replacement. But, with a 3-5 year...

The Anything Thread that is Never off subject.

The whole Rayner debacle points to one thing. The tax code is overly complex. Doesn't matter if it's stamp duty, income tax, inheritance, VAT, N.I., the whole shebang is so full of if's, but's and maybe's that I doubt anyone (even 'experts') can be fully conversant with it. A few years ago a...

YOSE or Whoosh or Boost, or Something Else, for Conversion But Legal?

The rear hub motors I have fitted have been 135-140mm. You may need to spring the rear frame slightly (subject of much debate on here), but by very little for each side. Better tight than loose I think.

    Boxer Rocket Battery

What a thouroughly ridonculous bike ! I absolutely love it  Seeing something like that on the road will brighten up many a dull day.

YOSE or Whoosh or Boost, or Something Else, for Conversion But Legal?

In the 'putting your own kit together' arena, I would suggest Topbikekit, with a Battery purchased from Greenlance (UK supplier). From Topbikekit you can get the favoured KT controllers, giving you programabilty and dual voltage capability. this means that a few years down the road, as your...

    Hi All, Newbie pestering yer!!

I agree, keeping your motor and fitting a KT controller and display with a new battery would be the way to go. Re-celling can be more expensive than new and, since Jimmy passed, there's no-one I could recommend. You can put together your own KT kit at Topbikekit. Used them myself, they are...

    Council Tax Reform

What is the value of a property? Surely, it is only what someone will pay for it and that can only be truly determined by actually selling it. There is the argument that it can be determined by sale prices of houses in the same location. In urban locations, maybe, though many are now altered...

6 year old on a dirt bike in traffic…

So, the header says, 'A four year old'. The comentry says, A six year old on a dirt bike'. The writing underneath says.' A young child on an electric scooter'. This is a great example of the sensationalism and lack of accuracy in reporting these days (especially where eapc's are concerned)...
