How do I remove the speed restriction on ebco UCR 10 please?

I've recently bought a 1 year old ebco UCR 10 whilst waiting for my 3 month delayed Swytch kit. It has the LED DP06 control display. Does anyone know how I can easily remove the speed restriction please?

There are plenty of 34T versions on ebay but 40T is large! I found a performance table for that motor previously (can't find it now) and it showed that it's power plateaued out at just under 11A/400W (from memory). I'm not sure if I would draw more current if your controller permitted but the...

Thanks kiwi and understood. You have 37mm to fit a 40mm freewheel or cassette unless they've narrowed the motor or you stretch the stays to squeeze a washer into to avoid the potential small cog foul issue. There could be a increase in the market for these old freewheel gears at 7spd+ as a...

How does wheel size affect hub motor ebike performance?

Thinking out loud... ebike performance must be affected by wheel size (both in torque/acceleration & top speed) because the wheel size is effectively part of the overall eGearing? Does anyone know of a detailed guide to this please?

Thanks. That was most informative. I appreciate the effort in your explanation. Fortunately I have a supply of such washers but are you sure they don't need to be 14mm? My dropouts appear very easy to widen so I just tried my existing wheel with 10mm washers (2 x 3mm) on one side & then both...

Who have you been unable to convince? There must be a market for wide range 7-8 speed conversions with 135 dropouts because the majority of new donor MTB/hybrids are 7-8 spd with 135 dropouts. Unfortunately Freehub conversions are often considered an upgrade to a freewheel standard (that new...

It was Woosh that showed concern of the weight on the rear triangle, and then said that a light rear hub motor was one of the ways to go (and it is a light rear hub). The crank motor is not really an option. It's a bargain £105 extra kit on offer to anyone who's bought a full swytch kit...

I was thinking of how to mitigate against the issue you raised on your previous post with your concern that the seat stay should be in compression but the motor torque will pull the glued end in tension... Looking at the picture, the motor would tend to twist the local axle bolt area of the...

d8veh... I have not found what motor is used for each power, front, rear, freehub, freewheel etc but this is what they say... Wheel Size and Speed Selection Please confirm the motor wheel size and top speed you require. Our rear wheel has an 135mm dropout width, with a freewheel fitting for...

I will check if the motor is the same/different between freehub/wheel but reading all the info & my survey, I'm 100% certain they say freewheel includes up to and including 8spd and if you want 9spd+ you have to use freehub at $30 extra. BOTH types are 135mm.

Thanks d8veh but I'm now confused... The swytch rear kit is freewheel as standard, or $30 extra for freehub. They advised me that they are interchangeable between the 2 methods providing you have the an equivalent number of teeth and the same speed (max 8spd) and my bike is 8spd, although I'm...

Thanks (both). If you remember from my previous thread, my main kit will be a 350/500 rear switch kit on an MTB. I've now tried a similar panda kit on an MTB like mine, although it didn't have the swytch 'shopper basket' battery/controller. Swytch are now offering me an extra kit (minus the...

Thanks Woosh. My main concern was because of the aluminium/carbon joint you can see in my 1st link and whether it was more susceptible than your average installation?
