Hub motor v Mid drive motor?

Not really an argument for hub over mid-mount motors, in nearly 50 years of cycling road, gravel, mountain and ebike, I've never had a chain fail. I feel its more down to poor maintenance, I clean and lube a chain every couple of months, unless conditions require more frequently.

A few questions for a fat blokes first kit!

It's only been a trend over the last few years to offer wider rims, this gives the tyre a squarer profile, making it more stable when cornering and less likely to fold over. I remember back in the late 90's having 19mm rims with 2.2" tyres with no problems, since the advent of tubeless set ups...

    New Bike has arrived

Nice bike... I do like Cube bikes, apart from my current Cube ebike, I have owned two other non-assisted, being well over six foot tall, I find they're one of the few brands that cater for the taller rider.

Alright guys. Newbie. Looking for advice for rear hub conversion for MTB

Why do you assume the rear stays should be spaced to 140mm?

    EBike repair stand recommendations

I have been building bikes for over 40 years, so I've learnt a few things along the way but there's nothing complicated about this type of build, the ability and tools to remove/refit cranks, rear wheel and cassette are about all that's needed, on my wife's bike and the position of the bottle...

It's the Woosh bikes Aikema SX85, it's the smallest/lightest hub motor they offer but still has 40? Nm of torque, which is plenty. The main reason I chose this kit was the fact it has black motor/rim/spokes to match the original front, it would have bugged me every time I looked at it, if it...

    Bosch gen 4

If clearance allows, you'd need to go a lot larger than 2 teeth difference, this would only give approx 1.5mph more for the same cadence, this is why most twin (or triple) chainring cranks have at least 10 teeth difference between chainrings.

    Speedbox 3.0

I've since purchased and fitted another... Either I had a dud, as no error codes came up and the bike was fine again once I'd switched it off and back on, or I think I might have gone through the max speed setting process on the fly, as I remember going up and down the assistance levels before...

These Schwalbe Big Apple tyres are really good and offer better puncture protection than the original fitment, although the original tyres do look nice. The Big Apple tyres that I have fitted are only! 2" wide which was a good trade off, as the 2.25" version are quite a bit heavier as are the...
