    Bicycle Suspension

Thanks for the reply, very interesting about the forks as I have just been quoted between £60 - £80 for rigid ones!! Don't want to go down that route now! Also just found out that to fit the cut-out brake levers and throttle supplied, I will have to remove the Shimano 7 speed thumb changer...

    Bicycle Suspension

Thanks for the torque arm idea. Won't the arm make it much more difficult to remove the wheel if I get a flat tyre? Also as I am thinking of an Alien 36v 250w 10Amp road legal front wheel kit do you think it even necessary to fit one (I could lock the suspension)? The forks on my bike are...

    Bicycle Suspension

I am trying to gain information about adding a front motor to my 2007 Marin Hybrid Kentfield FS with Spinner Odesa LX suspension forks. It seems that I need to ensure that they are not aluminium but are either steel or cromoly as ali is likely to be unsafe. Believe it or not after searching...

    Salisbury or convert own bike?

Just looked at the Alien Aurora nd see that it is road illegal!!!! Is there a particular problem with GM? Can someone also explain what the practical difference in power and the distance a bike will travel between - 1) 24 and 36 volt and 2) say 10AmpH - 12 AmpH and up to 15AmpH or so please?

    Salisbury or convert own bike?

I have been looking at the golden Motor conversion for my own Marin bike at a cost of £649 which would give me a 36v 250 watt 12 AmpHr battery machine, but am also wondering if it might be a better bet to go for the Powacycle Salsbury bike @ £729 - 200 watt 26V 10.5Ah=273 Watt hours. If...

    e-Bike for a Motorhome

I shall have a look at fitting a tow bar thanks. I have driven some 30,000 miles in the Uk, France, Germany and Benelux with 2 hybrid Marin bikes (not particularly light) on a Fiamma rack on our Compass Avantguard over the last 3 years and have had no ill effects on the handling. As mine is...

    e-Bike for a Motorhome

Thanks for your. The Proconnect Gents looks quite possible as I am 6ft 4in and it only weighs 21.7kg (?does that include the battery?) The Agatu ladies looks far too heavy at 25kg and I can't see any alternatives on the site Regards

    e-Bike for a Motorhome

Hi, Yes I have driven some 30,000 miles in the Uk, France, Germany and Benelux with 2 hibrid Marin bikes (not particularly light) on a Fiamma rack on our Compass Avantguard over the last 3 years and have had no ill effects on the handling. Agreed the lift up is a bit tricky but at 6ft 4in I...

    e-Bike for a Motorhome

We are looking for a pair of decent electric bikes (preferably with Pedalec and full twist grip throttle ability) that we can carry on a bike rack fitted on the rear wall of our motohome. As the motorhome has a large rear overhang it is important to keep the weight down as the overhang...

Great information, a lot to digest but thank you everyone. On balance I think that we will go for the NiMH Windsor and Salisbury.
