Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro (2022) Trapeze

One year on: Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 - Review I thought I’d jot down some thoughts after almost a year of owning this bike. Overall this is a superb bike that has given me hours of pleasure from cycling to the local greengrocer’s shop to trundling around local cycle trails. At 68 and...

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro (2022) Trapeze

Completely justified comment though it's far from the most expensive post I've seen. Having suffered a bit with my back in the past it seemed like a reasonable investment to me and so it seems to be proving. It is also the last piece of the jigsaw for me in putting together the dream setup I'd...

    RedShift Shockstop Suspension seat post

Finally managed to get hold of the 280mm Redshift post and appropriate shim. It took a few tweaks to get the adjustment right. The recommended weight adjustments weren't particularly helpful but once I'd sorted it out - wow. No more jarring lumps and bumps. Absolutely fabulous.

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro (2022) Trapeze

Now Perfect! Finally I managed to get hold of a 280mm Redshift Shockstop seatpost (I wasn't convinced the 350mm would fit) and appropriate shim to replace the origninal. After a few tweaks (the weight adjustment suggestions for the post aren't particularly helpful) the ride is superb. With the...

    Cube Kathmandu and Racktime

Yes. I ended up with Cube panniers which were expensive but extremely easy to get on and off the rack. The handle at the top of the bag opens the retaining clips and you just lift it up and off. However, be aware that the clips on these bags sit proud of the top of the rack so slotting in a...

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro (2022) Trapeze

Absolutely agree about the colour. I could have had a 2021 model months ago in that colour but really didn't like it. Mine's grey and it looks superb! In the end I'm glad I had to wait for the 2022 with the air forks. I only managed to get mine after being let down by an online supplier then...

Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro (2022) Trapeze

A few weeks ago I (an old codger) splashed out a silly amount of money on this bike. So far however, for the most part, I haven’t regretted the investment. Firstly, a note about sizing: When I researched the bike on the web it wasn’t yet available. At 5’ 8” (173cm) and with average reach and...

    RedShift Shockstop Suspension seat post

Yes. Usefully, Redshift have a diagram including dimensions with max and min insertions. They sell the 280mm seat post direct from the US but I don't want to get hammered with import costs. I know the 280mm version is relatively new so maybe I'll wait until it gets here. Anyhow thanks for...

    RedShift Shockstop Suspension seat post

Thanks Jodel. I looked at the Suntor and reached the same conclusion. The Thudblaster looks attractive. I'll have another look.

    RedShift Shockstop Suspension seat post

Ive been looking at replacing my seat post with the above. I gather that the post is now available in two lengths, ie 350mm and 280mm. I can only find the 350mm size in UK outlets. This is too long for my Cube Kathmandu. Does anyone know whether / where the shorter post is available...

    Cube Kathmandu and Racktime

Thanks AndyBike. You're dead right about pricing. Everything's astronomical at the mo including panniers. Paid a ridiculous price for the Cube but I've been after one for ages. Everywhere sold out. Even going for the latest model, at least one supplier was saying they'd sold out of their initial...

I guess I'll have to wait for the bike before investing in pannier bags ! :)

    Cube Kathmandu and Racktime

Hi Folks, I am awaiting delivery of a Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625. It has a pre-fitted Racktime Carrier. Racktime offer their original fitting and "Racktime 2.0". Does anyone know which of these is fitted to the Cube Bike? Thanks in advance for any replies
