Just to report on the fact that local councils couldnt care less now regarding our roads, every year that I have been commuting to London the councils have always patched up the road before the marathon. This year......Nothing!
I have a question for 50 cycles. If you put a cable tie around the whole tyre, surely that will create problems with the brake block snatching at it? Just a thought. Tomt.

Just a small point Cirrus 18 but what do you mean when you said that you would have lots of breakdowns with an electric bike? I have now owned my Kalkoff Pro Connect for 18 months and used it daily for a 22 mile commute with not a hint of a failure. john c.

Does anyone know for sure what the current consumption is for the lights on the Pro Connect? How does it compare to the motor consumption? JohnC.

I use my pro connect on a daily 11 mile commute and I must admit the bike does transmit every lump and bump. However it does make you concentrate more on the road ahead and the advantages of the bike far outweigh the hard ride!

just a word to put your mind at rest re the sprocket cog.If you fit a 19 t00th you will find it is just right for the job ( I know cos I asked Flecc and I fitted it to my Pro and it is superb)
