Sorry for late reply The solution is very simple. The battery needs o be stabilised at lower end. I have glued two pieces of springy foam to the ledge next to battery connectors. Ever since the motor has stopped cutting out. Cheap and does work.

Thank you very much for your advice. I will try to follow it immediately. My feeling is that it is something to do with the battery as it sometimes switches off on bumpy roads.

Only today I have found out that in order to reset the trip computer one has to press plus and minus together and that is not what the manual is saying.
