I am at work at the no so I can't check anything yet. I can confirm the original battery has no on off switch. When you put the original battery back on the display runs the start up then has a flashing no 2 indicating a fault.

Well looks like a new controller is the best option as the bike will not now work with the original battery. Which part in the battery case is the controller the circuit board with the 6 pins or the black box on top
