  1. Hello Nealh. Sometimes the obvious is overlooked by me. It is looks like it was loose screws retaining the battery connector pins in the battery holder. So far only tested in house upside down . But it's not cutting out . Too soon for me to road test after hospital . Fingers crossed
  2. I've been in hospital few wks. I've checked the pedal sensor and magnetic disc and the gap between them but still stop start .
  3. Hello again Nealh, I have had bike upside down just turning pedal and it still does it . But I'll recheck the disc and sensor again thanks
  4. I'm throwing out an old question I posted more than a year ago in case some new ideas come to the fore. Electric motor keeps disengaging after a few turns of the pedal. If you free wheel for a few seconds or switch the power off and on it re- engages. It's a voilamart 36 volt front wheel hub. It did have a wheel drop out couple of years ago which stopped the motor from working, buts now been fixed with the great help of some people here. It wasn't happening immediately after the repair. I've cleaned the magnetic contacts on the disc and I've readjusted the pedal sensor but it doesn't solve it. I checked all wiring for continuity in the process of repairing the motor. Guess it's a hard one to answer but I'm thinking how to open the controller and clean up everything inside I wonder whether it it had something happened to it when I had the wheel drop out. Any other thoughts our ideas would be appreciated
  5. 185. eBay seller battery.pack. Wellingborough. And he lets you collect if you're near . Dodgy suppliers wouldn't allow that
  6. New uk supplied Aerdu battery update ... very early days of course but at least it's not doing what some Ali express purchased Aerdus did which is die after 20minutes . So it's holding at 25 to 26 miles range . Only 4 or 5 charges so far so as I said early days.
  7. Only thing is it didn't have a problem before wheel drop out so something def happened partic as you know my throttle stopped working at full belt. And a replacement throttle didn't solve it so controller fir me
  8. I can live with it . I'm pedalling short bursts and freewheeling 50-50 anyway so apart from the odd slight incline (I don't do many of those ) where it catches me out a bit
  9. Narrowed the gap down but still there . To be honest it must have been 3 mm before cos there's only one to fit it and the bracket wasn't bent or anything . But I'm still thinking controller and there's a clue now . If it cuts out but I continue to pedal , it never kicks in again until I stop pedalling and start again . That makes me feel that a signals always happening while I pedal and maybe it needs signal to stop when I freewheel to reset
  10. Thanks yeh . Was thinking about that . I've tried it out back together again still at 3 mm and just the occasional splutter not as often as before . So I'll do as you suggest .
  11. This is reason disc is 3 mm away And not 1mm . It cant sit flush as you can see. But it must always have been like that and had no reading problem before . So I'll assume it's either the loose sensor which I'm gonna secure or it's the control box
  12. 2 potential issues. Pedal sensor is attached to mounting bracket by 2 lugs and 1 screw . The screw was loose but doesn't tighten properly looking fur another screw . Secondly the magnet disc is about 3 mm from sensor. Unfortunately don't know if that's how it was before I removed cranks to fix pedal wobble. So I'll be removing pedal crank and seeing what's going on behind
  13. Thanks . Yeh I removed it when looking at bottom bracket I'll recheck
  14. Now I'm getting random no response from pas until I switch off and on or sometimes works if I flick the throttle . Difficult to pinpoint that one . If you remember this throttle / on off switch changed from full throttle to slow start up speed after wheel drop out and motor repair. But new throttle didn't solve it so suspect the control box. Just something I'll put up with till I'm not biking in winter
  15. Why cheating if you did 150 mile bike route anywhere I'd be impressed . Why restrict choice of location if it's too far to bike there
