    Gocycle app v9.1 incomplete

The major change is that the complete absence of any heads up display. It used to show your speed, gear, power level, trip distance etc etc. but now there is no such display, so all you get is the odometer, power mode, lights far as I recollect that's it. My dealership say they released it...

    Gocycle app v9.1 incomplete

Sort of my point, given gocycle is pretty much the most expensive ebike out there! I'd hoped for better with an app update

    Gocycle app v9.1 incomplete

I'm hoping this will help other gocycle owners. If you follow the instructions to "upgrade" to the v9.1 of the app you are going to find you have lost the dashboard and will not be putting your phone on the bars anytime soon. Somehow there is absolutely no mention I can find of it anywhere on...

    Battery comparison

I don't have range anxiety and shall not be drawn into defending what I spent on the gocycle, except to say there are reasons it is often rated so highly. I rode four other ebikes before the gocycle and it's my preferred bike for ride, folding, and looks. But I admit it's bl##dy expensive!

    Battery comparison

Can those more knowledgeable than me confirm or comment on this. I used to ride a gocycle G3 with a 24v 375 wh battery Now I have a G4 which is 36v but remains 375 Wh Should this mean I get greater range, in theory? Or does it mean I can receive more power over the same range? My practical...

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

Yes, had the bike for three years, more or less. In that time I paid about £135 for servicing. There were a couple of routine services, plus a failure of the front gearbox and front light bracket. Each of these were treated as warranty issues some didn't havevto pay for parts. What you get...

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

It's a cruel world,! They said this was on basis of being able to sell it for a grand... Maybe I could have got myself £1200 I reckon, but I had neither the money nor the storage space so I went ahead for the sake of expediency... Also it was in for a service, so not paying that bill probably...

    Gocycle hack for handlebar accessory

Gocycle hack I mentioned at the end of my review.... Basically the gocycle has non standard bars, thick and busy with LEDs etc. So bar accessories like my favourite, the beeline, just will not go, there's no stem either. But some time ago my wife bought me a "bright side" light that gives...

    Review Gocycle G4i review

Cannot update the title of my review of the G3+, but since I'm now the proud owner of a G4i model I thought I'd post this and link to my review here; https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/gocycle-g3.40058/ There's a post at the end outlining the main differences with the new model...

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

STATUS UPDATE i have recently traded in my G3+ and bought a new gocycle G4i (despite the trade in I had to spend as much as buying the previous gocgcle, £4k!). the highlights for the new bike are: Noticeably more powerful motor, which kicks in without the one/two second lag of the G3. silent...

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

No, its all down to stone chips or scrapes, perhaps I should always keep the front mudguard on, but I'm not certain that would help, and its another two bolts to tighten each time I put the bike together

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

Small addition, after 550 miles. I have found the paintwork a little susceptible to chips; there's been one on the underside about 6mmx3mm down to the metal (or magnesium!) Which i guess was from a stone thrown up by the chunky front tyre at 30 psi it seems to readily chuck out any loose...

    Review Gocycle (G3+)

Advices and notes, after the first 150 miles. This is definitely not a "clown bike" it is more akin to a formula one compact performance ebike. Clown bikes don't come with the option of carbon fibre wheels. My previous KTM macina 29 ebike was closer to a clown bike. (Yes, that comment did...

    Unhappy surprise

As I said, it's at home now. Garage is being demolished and I have vacated it. Where I'm improving security is on a cupboard to the front of my hiuse

    Unhappy surprise

Believe it or not the garage is scheduled for demolition! Bike is basically in house since there's zero access to garden. I plan on making the coal hole cupboard VERY secure. And that will be all I can do. Incidentally I had a shriek alarm 100db padlock on the bike and although I can't know...
