Neat / tidy long cables on Bafang BBS02 ?

I didn't solder the wires because I find twisting the wires together (in the right way) gives a surprisingly strong join, which also remains flexible. I also find it fiddly with soldering right next to heat-shrink sleeve: I either accidentally shrink the sleeve while trying to solder, or I don't...

Neat / tidy long cables on Bafang BBS02 ?

I bought a spare Bafang "1T4" cable and cut it down to length. The 8 wires inside are twisted together (not soldered) and then short lengths of shrink-wrap used to cover the joins. It is a bit fiddly! Then a final bigger piece of shrink-wrap is used to cover it: be interesting to see how well...

Neat / tidy long cables on Bafang BBS02 ?

Thanks for that. The Bafang "1T4" cable only has 8 individual wires inside I think? I might get a spare cable and cut that down to length, but I'll stick with zip-ties for now!

Neat / tidy long cables on Bafang BBS02 ?

I'm just putting together my first ebike build, and I've got quite a lot of extra cable length that I don't need: I've routed the main "controls" cable underneath the downtube (because there were spare grips for a cable already on the frame) and so all the brake/display/etc cables are long. What...

    Wanted - EggRider V2 display

Reply from the ebay seller: "We are sorry to tell that this version does not support app. You could only set the product by yourself according to the instructions and it can not be remotely controlled."

    Wanted - EggRider V2 display

Thanks :) Does it work in an identical fashion using the EggRider mobile app, or does it need its own app from somewhere?

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Well I managed to sustain 75W @ 60 rpm near the limit of my safe HR, which I'm really pleased with :D very low of course compared to even an unfit healthy person, but better than I feared! I can pedal a faster cadence, but at lower power and 60 rpm felt comfortable.

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

It's an On One Whippet X9 2013, carbon frame. SRAM X9 10 speed 11-32 on the rear. Some people have said that a carbon frame isn't suitable for fitting a mid-drive motor like the Bafang?

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Thanks again for all the suggestions :D (even if none of you can agree with each other :P lol) I'm going on a friend's turbo this weekend, with a power meter, cadence + heart rate monitor, so I'll have some real numbers to throw into the discussion. I suspect that my power output will be very...

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Thanks, that is really useful. I probably don't need 20% hill climbing, it just would have been nice ;) So long as I can get up most roads in the Peak (10%?) and if I do get over-ambitious with a steeper hill, I can always stall, turn around and try a different route. lol. Both good questions...

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Thanks. I've just emailed Brighton E-bikes for their advice. They appear to specialise in conversions using the Bafang mid-drive motors?

Advice for disabled rider on steep climbs - realistic?

Hi, Just joined this forum, and I don't know any the jargon around ebikes. I'm disabled, and while I can 'ride' a bike, my heart rate has to stay very low. Basically I mustn't get out of breath, or start sweating, and there is no chance I'll be able to get 'fitter' through regular practice :(...
