2017 KTM Fogo 271 Long term review

Excellent detailed review of a clearly, very capable bike (in the right hands, LOL) and spectacular photo's. I think if was in the market for an upgrade, the KTM would be around the top of my list. I have one of their motorcycles and am delighted with it. I never considered their EMTB's. Oh...

    First e-bike Raleigh or Carrera

Sorry just saw this post, it was over the page when I wrote mine about the Rockrider. Wishing you many happy adventures on the Array :D

    First e-bike Raleigh or Carrera

Here is a curved ball for you! Have a look at the range at Decathlon. I recently bought my first pedelec, the Rockrider E ST900. The spec is excellent for the money. It compares well against the well know brand models costing £1k more. The build quality is really good as well. Took it into the...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Had my first ever pedelec ride yesterday and, after all the advice received before its purchase, thought I would share some details of the experience. The bike - is a Rockrider E-ST900 hard tail EMTB from Decathlon. Initially I was looking at some full suspension bikes at nearly three times the...

    Which to choose?

On the web site, yes. And was very impressed by the spec for the money and the reviews on youtube. However, it is out of stock for delivery or click and collect. I phoned all the stores within 150 miles of me but they had all sold out. Was told there may be a few coming late November, but can't...

    Which to choose?

Your opinion is still appreciated, it is similar to mine. Just I didn't want to blow my budget on a bike I can't try off road first. So, when test rides are possible I will be trying some full suspension bikes and maybe upgrade then, or maybe not, depending on how impressive they are in comparison.

    Which to choose?

Both local shops I visited, Evolution and WE Cycle, have sold out of most models and I can't test ride what they have off road, so investing £3k-£4k in a bike may not be my best idea. I have heeded your wisdom Nev, and played safe, ordering a hardtail bike and suspension seatpost. Thinking it...

Help! Cant find an ebike I want anywhere.

I have been a customer of Decathlon in France and UK for a few years now. Always been happy with the CS and on the rare occasion I have had to return anything, refunded or exchanged without any quibbles. Excellent prices for the quality as well.

Help! Cant find an ebike I want anywhere.

Hi RonnieX, So, how are you getting on with it?

    Which to choose?

Thanks, I don't disagree with you and a hardtail has been fine for the little bit of down hill I have done on my non e bike. And I suppose, it is the climbs that I am trying to get past with my purchase. It's mainly the lack of opportunity to test ride anything off road that is pushing me to up...

Hello from a newbie in North Wales

Thanks for your suggestions and comments so far, very helpful! With my improved knowledge I visited my local stores. Have now asked a model specific question in the EMTBS section. So, if you are interested where it's going and have further thoughts to share, I would love to hear from you there.

    Which to choose?

Considering buying an EMTB for single track "exploring" in Snowdonia. So, plenty of climbs and downhills, but extreme drop offs and big jumps, etc. are not my thing. I want something capable, but easy to ride all day long. After some helpful tips on here already, thank you, my head is clearing...

Hello from a newbie in North Wales

Agreed, MK was a joy to cycle round. Even the Dutch would be jealous. Easy, well maintained paths, safe as you barely ever need to go on roads and well managed garden park like surroundings almost everywhere. But, for interesting off roading ....... hence I swapped to road tyres on my mountain...

Hello from a newbie in North Wales

Thanks for your suggestions. Wish I could run 10k several times a week, LOL. Just do 2 or 3 runs a week totaling about 20k, and that's mainly just the coast path, so not much elevation. Saying that, the pedelec is more for fun and exploring mountain trails than for exercise. You could be right...
