Torque v cadence - which has more efficient battery usage (my wife's battery ran out, mine did not...)?

Pedalling harder tires you out faster which forces you to use the motor assist more often later on even on flats during long distance commuting depending on a specific conditions. Cadence sensors might even sustain the momentum better than torque sensors on hills due to inherent nature of uneven...

    BBSHD Pas Sensor

Speed sensor is working. It was cadence sensor. Tried to plug and unplug the cadence sensor connector at the controller side but it made no difference.

    BBSHD Pas Sensor

Also had an intermittent cadence sensor failure on a new BBSHD bought from a local supplier. Couldn't find any bad solder joints on a hall sensor PCB. As soon as I opened it up it was working. After putting everything back together it normally works for 5 minutes then stops responding again...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

According to joeows6537 YouTube user on JohnnyNerdout Bafang M635 unboxing video Toseven motor stators have tighter press fit housings than Bafang resulting in better cooling.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

I think JohnnyNerdout was the one who said that there is going to be produced DM-01 with cooling fins for better efficiency soon so users will still have to use the "outdated" BBSHD for a while.

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

From German forum. "I find the volume uncomfortable; even with low support I find the sound higher, somehow more metallic than the TSDZ2. This is perhaps due to the higher engine speed and the larger gear ratios that come with it. Otherwise, the gears should be the same: a nylon gear wheel and...

Has anyone heard of or tried Toseven mid drive?

Is it worth getting DM-01 currently or is it better to wait until ToSeven is available everywhere like TSDZ2 and Bafang? Was forced to cancel CYC Photon due to delays and go for more robust tried and tested BBSHD. Unfortunately BBSHD developed some intermittent cadence sensor fault so had no...

    Non-responsive buttons on TSDZ2 VLCD6 display

Anyone else ever had a non responsive buttons on VLCD6 display? After reconnecting the battery the buttons work again for a short period of time, sometimes for longer. So far only one person have complained about this on bentrideronline. He ended up swapping out the controller.

    BBSxx maintenance intervals?

Strangely semi-synthetic Molykote pg-75 which contains mineral oil was recommended by performancelinebearings.com According to this file mineral oil has better load carrying capacity compared to synthetic.

    Damping grease

Should damper grease such as Molykote em-50l (originally said to be found in Tongsheng TSDZ2) be used on plastic gears in general to reduce the noise in general? Performancelinebearings.com recommends using Molykote pg-75 which is NLGI2 with base oil viscosity of 32, while the Molykote em-50l...

TSDZ2 whining like mad after blue gear change!

Mineral oil is said to be compatible with plastics. Even semi-synthetic Molykote pg-75 has mineral oil. The original 150°C NLGI1 Molykote em-50l is said to have better noise reduction properties, while 130°C NLGI2 Molykote pg-75 is said to have lower friction.

    TSDZ2 pinion gear cover friction

Doesn't UV glue needs to be visible to light to harden? Silicone still seems the best option since the plastic cover is constantly bending upon tightening and undoing the three screws. If the surface is rough enough then it should have some adhesion + I made some flange at the bottom of the...

    TSDZ2 pinion gear cover friction

Probably will gonna glue some 0.45mm thick cap on it made out of a electrolytic capacitor, since after swapping out one of the half-step gear chainrings there is a bigger gap now. Using steel kinda seems too dangerous close to mechanical parts with unpredictable tolerances. Silicone adhesive...
