Should damper grease such as Molykote em-50l (originally said to be found in Tongsheng TSDZ2) be used on plastic gears in general to reduce the noise in general?
Performancelinebearings.com recommends using Molykote pg-75 which is NLGI2 with base oil viscosity of 32, while the Molykote em-50l NLGI1 has base viscosity over 1000.
I guess since Molykote em-50l is rarely ever found in small quantities so the others are used.
Seems like the motor is starting to sound louder lately (ODO +/-2000km) with some vibrations felt through the pedals whereas before the vibrations were more pronounced during the cold weather only.
The semi-synthetic Molykote pg-75 is said to have lower friction or drag probably due to lower base oil viscosity and some unknown solid additives.
