DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

You could go for Big Ben Plus rather than Big Apple, has better puncture resistance. The Super Moto X are also a level 6 and go up to 70 mm wide, if you want a Fatbike Brompton :) https://www.schwalbetires.com/Super-Moto-X-11159531

    Bafang Rear Hub Motor Questions

20A at 48V should be plenty. You could go higher, but then you start straining the battery unless it is very big.

    Bafang Rear Hub Motor Questions

Yes, it's all a bit hand waving. Just whatever measure the company uses, the result is lower for the G010 than the G020 and the difference is noticeable in the real world.

Nice! An RM062. Should have plenty of beans in it for what you need.

Also, if it is G010 or G020 makes quite a difference. The G010 has a lot less torque.

Do you have the code, eg SWX02 or CST... or BPM...or G020.250...?

Help! Ebike kit I can carry in airports and charge my Macbook

Might be worth talking to @StuartsProjects he has a Brompton with minimalist set up. We did talk a while back about Bosch power drill batteries. The smallest of these (2.6 Ah) would be airline compatible.

Thank goodness the plonker didn't manage to get on the train before it happened.

I still have this internal debate as to whether you are channelling your internal Yoda, or just quoting a sportswear manufacturer? :D

That's the trouble, media only want sensationalist headlines, not to understand what happened, or bore readers with technical info. The fire brigade don't have the resources to investigate in detail unless someone is seriously hurt or dies. Before the bike goes bang, you can see the rider jump...

    Folding bikes

Another advantage with a folder is when you get to the office you can take it in with you and put it under your desk, rather than leave it outside where it can easily be stolen.

    Folding bikes

When I used to commute into London on the train, the folder used to save me a fortune in fairs in getting around the city. I don't use it so much these days, but it is always there as a backup. Particularly useful when I take the cars in for an MOT etc. I can take it in the back of the car then...

See what the fire brigade say? No home e-bike conversions. Ridiculous over reaction.
