As the component manufacturers’ motors become mainstream it occurs to me that it might be possible to take an ebike on holiday and hire a suitable battery at the destination. Has anyone managed to do this?

    I have hired an additional Yamaha battery locally for the princely sum of €5. Wouldn't rely on being able to do so without asking in advance.
