Liebor poli-tic-shuns don't know basic English law!
Tominey asked Steve Reed that question 'in the UK'.
She is just as ignorant as he is.
The Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022 is only applicable in England and Wales,
In Scotland and Northern Ireland, it's 16.

Mm, interesting.. just ban foreigners Without Swiss work permit ID?
Of course, this is Switzerland where people actually assert their sovereignty..
The guy cherry picked a silly example and his comment borders on xenophobism and you expand commercial interest of a hotelier to national character. I still remember cardboard notices in some hotels in London East End back in the 60s 'no dogs, no ...,'.

If the US pulls its companies out with tariffs, the tax take will go down 30%, and irish gov will soil its pants. :)
They are incorporated in Ireland for reasons. As long as Trump cannot change those reasons, why would they want to move out?
Trump uses tariffs to raise tax income from Americans. I don't see any major multinationals moving their factories to the US for 15% of import duty. I paid 37.5% antidumping duty on Chinese ebikes before setting up assembly in Southend-On-Sea. Each bike costs about £75 in labour. For many businesses, it's hardly worth the effort. They just buy from Chinese factories in Poland or Czech Republic.

True enough, so far, fingers crossed it doesn't change!
But if yanks buy local instead of imports, then the US tariff take nosedives?
And the multinationals aren't stupid. If it pays they will reduce activity here to non-US production only, and open facilities in US for that market, so no Tariffs. :)

It's a whole industry working on schemes to reduce taxes for the ultra rich. If your 'worth' has 9 zeros or more, you use it to borrow money to buy others and buy your private planes, boats, islands, chateau, whatever. All tax free. You never have to pay as much tax (as a percentage) as when you received still a payslip.
