Humane way of scaring off unwanted neighbourhood cats

Here's a novel idea...... how about cat owners actually beIng responsible for THEIR pets and stopping them going on and crapping on other peoples property.

Accident with a pedestrian on my ebike

Are you trying to ascertain if you could get nicked for this ? Dont see how you could be.... it was her fault and she wasn't injured anyway. That link to the BBC story, isn't relevant, the cyclist was illegally riding on the pavement.

Volt Metro / BH Emotion EasyGo Volt / Kuo+

Kelly P...... If you're now looking at going over the max weight of these folders, like the Kudos Secret with its 90kg max weight, then maybe you should think again about the Woosh Galago ? The Galago was your first choice after all. As others have said, these max weights are only a problem if...

    Lidl Cycling Gear

Yeah, maybe i should have bought another one as a spare, seeing as they're that good..... although i would expect them to last for years. Also Lidl have 3 yr guarantees.

Folding bike advice for heavy rider

It wouldn't bother me at all going 15 kilos over a bikes supposed max weight. But its your call.

    Lidl Cycling Gear

I bought both the trekking and the MTB saddle from Lidl today (£7.99 each), didn't bother with the city saddle because it looked too big for me. Got home at fitted the MTB saddle first as it had the best look to it, then went for a short ride.... didn't like it at all, its really small and...

Hung for a sheep or lamb.....

I dont really see the point of this thread. Saying someone should go for excessively more power just because they want slightly more power over the legal limit doesn't make sense. I drive my car and motorcycle slightly over the speed limit sometimes, like most people do, but that doesn't mean i...

What was the best thing (non bike) you bought in 2015?

Outta the 5 or so camp stoves i have, only one gets used 99% of the time. A Gelert Intensity which is basically a rip off of an MSR Pocket Rocket without the rip off price...... brilliant gas stove with a really tiny packsize which makes it perfect for motorcycle camping.

What was the best thing (non bike) you bought in 2015?

I gotta Trangia stove.... and i always add about 10% water to the meths, it stops the pans going black. I also have a few different gas stoves. Also have had a petrol stove, but i found it too much hassle so i got rid. I appreciate the quality and engineering of petrol stoves, but stoves aren't...

    Ultra HD Television Sets

My next TV will be one of these 4K jobbies....... i did buy a new TV about 18 months ago and thought about 4K, but i felt it was too early for the 4K content and too expensive being new tech as well. So i just bought a HD..... But in a couple of years i'll go for one. I always buy my TV's from...

What was the best thing (non bike) you bought in 2015?

New motorcycle, but i guess thats almost in the bike category. So it would probably be my Chromebook..... which has been a revelation after using clunky Windows laptops.

    Cycle Mirror

Its pretty obvious that a larger motorcycle mirror will give better vision than a smaller bicycle mirror...... But would anyone want a motorcycle mirror on an Ebike, especially a heavy stainless steel mirror thats designed for classic & vintage motorcycles. I wouldn't and i would hazard a guess...

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

That finishes it off a treat...... Top stuff.

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

Must admit, i far prefer the look of a rear hub motor on this type of bike, definitely less conspicuous than a CD. Its what i shall do if i decide to fit a kit..... a smaller battery would probably suffice for me as well.

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

Are you going to put the original Giant 700/25 tyre on the rear motor wheel..... or replace both tyres with something else ? I've thought about putting 28's on mine.

Does anyone use a torque wrench on their bike religiously?

Anyone who wants to use a torque wrench, hey fill yer boots, i aint telling you not to. But i've been getting by fine for 40 years without one.... and i'm not likely to change now.

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

The wheel the motor is laced into really does match well...... its the one thing about the look of the conversion on my hybrid that bugs me. The motor wheel has silver spokes & rims, which looks really odd with the rear wheel that has black rims & spokes.

Does anyone use a torque wrench on their bike religiously?

Not me, i'd rather do it by feel. You never know for sure if a torque wrench has gone out of calibration. Dont use em on my motorcycles either..... i guess you either trust your own skills, or you dont.

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

Looks excellent Trex, really nice job. The only thing that would make it look even better for me, is to have matching tyres.

    Ultra HD Television Sets

Yeah, i remember it well...... I think that slogan in their ads was a take on Alexei Sayles 'Ello John Gotta New Motor' Toshiba were quality TV's in those days..... unlike the cheap junk they are now, like many things now, only trading on a well known name.
