If he is more specific he might get caught out in a lie - and he hates that because then he has to start inventing really crazy reasons as to why he wasn't wrong!

Stunning woman - love her to bits.

I'm wondering about vfr's age too. I know he makes himself out to be in his 50s or so (100 motorbike history etc) - but emotionally I'm getting way way younger than that. Tough to figure out because he's obviously not (academically) stupid.

8% a year over a long period is very good. Except I'd say if you put £12K in - in 2002 at monthly compound interest over 18 years that comes out at a total of £50,406 which if you took out £24K then that would leave you with £26,406. So I guess you must have taken that out a few years back...

I stuck a bit in this one too - its risk factor is less though earnings are also less. https://www.trustnet.com/factsheets/p/s050/rlp-blackrock-acs-us-equity-index-pn

Try an ETF or a managed trust fund. I stuck £20K in this one (below) about a year ago - it's up 25% thus far. You're right the best you can do with savings interest rates is about 1.2% (Skipton though it's now shut for new savers). Of course its safer though. Here...

Danny its not that vfr is a slow learner because that assumes he learns at all. Which on current evidence is to be severely doubted.

OK - enough vfr bashing (for now). Let's get back to the original topic of this thread..... Brexit! I read this today and - of course given I voted leave - liked it a lot: "I hate to admit it, but the Remainiacs were right. Everything that they said would happen, has happened. The traumatised...

Again - very good at correcting others but not so hot when the spotlight is on his own mistakes.

It was the easiest cop in the ******* world and all he had to do was admit he ****** up and we could have all moved on - instead he is making an absolute fool of himself by thinking anybody around here falls for his "when I said Michigan I did not mean all of Michigan" nonsense.

vfr is obviously under the mistaken impression I will enter into any further discussion with him after his last "when I said Michigan I did not mean all of Michigan" post.

Well. I think there is only one conclusion from this dialogue. You are a sad little troll.

Have you see this vfr - any thoughts?
  16. OxygenJames

    Brexit, for once some facts.

OK vfr - to continue this idea that you wanted to have an 'argument' rather than me just 'calling you names'. Reading what Oyster wrote above - what's your thoughts on that? What is your argument that "The USA has flipped to Trump" - is not misleading? (given the context - ie the fact is that...

Not to our resident sad little troll. It makes perfect sense to him. In fact he said it was "100% correct"
  18. OxygenJames

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Is that it? That's your argument? Pathetic. It's IN Michigan does not mean it IS Michigan. You said Michigan had flipped not that a county within Michigan had flipped! The fact that you equate the two shows how far you will go to bend facts for your own selfish ends. Your status as a sad...

OK. Let's try an 'argument' - as you seem to be suggesting. Ready? Here we go. You sent in this post: And as was pointed out to you - you were mistaken - Michigan had NOT flipped to Trump as you stated. Now what - exactly - is your argument against acknowledging you made a mistake...

I've tried arguments - you ignore them. So I'm trying calling you names. So far so good.
